The Hunnicutt family planted the Emmaline Ann Vineyard, just off Jonive Road, only about one hectare, surrounded by a forest of redwoods. At around 250 metres, a mix of clones, both 115 and 777. Ross uses 40% whole cluster with this wine, aged 22 months in barrel. This is a Sonoma Coast wine of sheer elegance—an aromatic symphony of gravelly minerality, pine bough, tart red fruits and fresh mint. Sweet candied raspberries highlight the palate alongside a depth of black tea. Bright tay berries and robust flavours of pomegranate molasses, alternating with pine tar, and Ross finds that the 2021 vintage had incredible structure across the board, and you can find it in spades in the Emmaline Pinot Noir.
